It is produced from the Saperavi grape variety cultivated at the Akhoebi vineyard of the Kardanakhi village in the Alazan Valley. The wine is fermented in the grape clay jugs buried in the ground, an ancient Kakhetian technology of wine-making. Pirosmani has been manufactured since 1981. At international exhibitions, it was awarded three gold and two sliver medals: 1996 Sochi 1998 Moscow 2000 Moscow 2001 Moscow Color: red Alcohol: 10.5- 12.; % Sugar: 1.5-2.5 % titrated acidity: 5-7 %
