A
vintage red wine staying at the top of the list of red table wines. It is
made of the Saperavi grape variety cultivated in the Mukuzani district in
Kakheti. The wine matures for three years in oak barrels. Mukuzani
has dark-ruby color, a velvety taste with a marked characteristic bouquet
and aroma, and great extractiveness with admirable palatable harmony.
At
international exhibitions Mukuzani was awarded eight gold, four silver and
one bronze medals.
It has been manufactured since 1893.
